Subject: Thanksgiving

We set up the Christmas tree and were just about to decorate it when we discovered that none of the lights work.  We decided to hold off on the decorations until Amber had a chance to buy lights.  Luckily, there is a lot of news this week so my evening will be filled with the joys of typing. Thanksgiving was skipped this year in NJ.  Everyone is all about Christmas.  The decorations are already out, the shopping has begun, and people are making their holiday plans.  Maybe they should just have a month long Christmas break from work to celebrate.  I’d be down with that.. (more…)

Tuesday. October 14^th

The newsletter is a little late this week as I spent the weekend sick.  Anyways, on to the good stuff.  This last week was exciting, not just because of the talk I had in church but also because it was, by definition, the greatest day of the year!  October 13^th for those who have forgotten to mark their calendars. Subject: RE: Milo ‘s Special Day

I think we can all agree that Conference was very good this year.  Silas watched it with me while we colored pictures together.  I enjoyed it immensely.  Milo didn’t want to listen so it was just the two of us.  Silas made my week all week this week.  Its been a very daddy-centric time.  He even made my church week as he was confused as to why we weren’t going to church this week.  I explained to him that this week we watch it on tv.  He protested, exclaiming “But I like church”.  Something must be going right if Silas loves going.  Rather, I should say that the teachers are doing something right.
